Gift cards: face value with a discount

A gift card or wallet code carries a face value in a specific currency and region — a US$25 Roblox card, a €20 Steam code. Marketplaces sell them below face value when they source them cheaply, which is why Lootlane shows gift cards as a face-value ratio: 1.08× means you get 8 % more wallet balance than you paid for.

The catch is region locking. A US card will not redeem on a European account, and some platforms convert at poor rates. Match the card region to your account region and ignore 'global' cards for platforms that do not actually have global wallets.
